Privacy Policy — Hayatar (Armenian Latin Keyboard)

This Privacy Policy explains how the Hayatar (Armenian Latin Keyboard) app and its keyboard extension (“the App”) handle your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Summary

• The App does not collect, log, or transmit what you type by default.
• The App contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
• Your personal word predictions are stored only on your device.
• The optional AI feature sends the single message you choose to improve to OpenAI, over a secure connection, using your own OpenAI API key.

What “Allow Full Access” is used for

iOS requires you to grant “Allow Full Access” for some keyboard features. The App uses Full Access only to:

• Read the keyboard layout and behavior settings you choose in the container app (shared through a private App Group container on your device).
• Save and read your personal next-word predictions (also stored only in that on-device container).
• Enable network access for the optional AI feature. iOS only permits a keyboard extension to use the network when Full Access is granted.

The App does not record keystrokes, does not build a profile of you, and does not send your typing to us. We operate no server and receive none of your data.

On-device data

• Personal language model: the App learns the Armenian words you type most often to offer better predictions. This never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the App.
• Settings: your layout choice and toggles are stored on-device.
• AI API key: if you use the AI feature, your OpenAI API key is stored on your device and is sent only to OpenAI to authenticate your own requests.

The optional AI feature

The AI feature is off by default and only works after you enable it and enter your own OpenAI API key. When you tap the ✨ button:

• The current message you are composing is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to OpenAI (api.openai.com) to return spelling, grammar, and punctuation corrections and tone rewrites.
• Only that message is sent — not your keystroke history, contacts, or other text.
• Results are cached temporarily on your device and are not sent anywhere else.
• Your use of OpenAI is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

Because the AI feature uses your own OpenAI account and key, OpenAI processes that text under its own terms. We do not have access to it.

Data we collect

None. The developer does not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
